“Personalisation is the biggest trend in the funeral industry”. (Glenn Gould, CEO MJK Marketing. Leader USA Market Intelligence)
“LifeArt coffins……..the next big thing down under..” (Seth Godin, USA Marketing Guru) MINTEL’S exclusive consumer research shows almost two thirds (63%) of Britain’s like the idea of an eco-coffin, made of cardboard. (Mintel Market Intelligence research 2007) The Business Opportunity LifeArt is expanding into key sites throughout UK, Europe, Asia, Canada and USA and is seeking business partners to develop the market for the LifeArt coffins and caskets. We seek innovative and committed partners to establish, under licence, the manufacturing and marketing of LifeArt coffins and caskets to the funeral industry. The ProductThe LifeArt coffin and casket is available in three design ranges - ‘Budget’, ‘Premium’ and/or ‘Exclusive’. These ranges cater for different market segments in the funeral industry, commonly classified as, the ‘value’, ‘midrange’ and ‘premium’ ends of the market. LifeArt coffins and caskets are made from Enviroboard, the latest and greenest technology for coffin manufacture. The patented sandwich construction incorporates load bearing components that allow the coffin to function and to be handled just like a traditional casket or coffin. LifeArt coffins can be modified to suit local regulations, conditions and tastes. Presently, the cost of a LifeArt Enviroboard coffin is competitive with traditional wood veneer particleboard or MDF coffins. With higher volumes it becomes more profitable than traditional materials while offering the choice of a truly personal coffin. The coffin has passed all regulatory requirements for the Australian funeral industry, which are applicable to world standards. LifeArt coffins are helping the funeral industry reduce its impact on the environment. An MDF coffins releases more than twice the greenhouse gases than producing recycled cardboard for a coffin. Added to this factor, MDF coffins release more than twice the emissions of LifeArt coffins when cremated. Independent cremation tests conducted by Stephenson Environmental Management found that MDF coffins had pollutant levels 213% higher than LifeArt coffins made of recycled cardboard. If all Australian families chose Enviroboard coffins, our Australian crematoriums would meet their contribution towards global emission reduction targets. The same could be applied in overseas markets. As the burn time for LifeArt coffins is half that of MDF coffins this also equates to fastest service cycle times for crematoriums. LifeArt coffins have set new standards in the use of recycled materials and in emissions for coffins. Manufacturing Requirements Under a licensing agreement, LifeArt will provide the sales and manufacturing blueprints, and provide guidance and training to the sales team while the local market is being developed through the licensee’s marketing arrangements with funeral homes. The licensee will be required to have stated equipment for full manufacture, assembly, storage and despatch facilities. The agreement can also include permission for local design production, or this may still be arranged through LifeArt Australia.
